What is Maxis Home Fibre?
Maxis Home Fibre is a fixed-line fibre broadband service available in most parts of Malaysia. It uses Telekom Malaysia's HSBB fibre network at the last mile, the same physical infrastructure used by Unifi. Plans range from 100Mbps standalone for light browsing, through 300Mbps and 500Mbps for everyday family use, up to 1Gbps for heavy work-from-home, gaming and multi-device households. 300Mbps and 500Mbps plans include a WiFi 6 router, while 1Gbps includes a WiFi 7 router. Optional Max WiFi by Maxperts add-ons from RM19/month are available for larger homes.
Maxis Home Fibre Plans & Pricing 2026
Pricing comes in two structures: Postpaid Converge (requires an eligible Maxis Unlimited Postpaid plan on the same account and gets the strongest Football Fever monthly pricing with lifetime rebate) and Standalone Fibre (no postpaid required, 24-month rebate only). Current key converge pricing: 300Mbps RM99 (save RM40/mth vs RM139 RRP), 500Mbps RM139 (save RM20/mth vs RM159 RRP), and 1Gbps RM159 (save RM90/mth vs RM249 RRP). Standalone pricing shown below is for customers who prefer fibre without a Maxis Postpaid bundle.

Maxis Home Fibre covers most urban and suburban areas in Peninsular Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Kedah, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Perlis), as well as Sarawak (Kuching, Kota Samarahan, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu) and Sabah (Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, Tawau). Coverage depends on whether your specific address has a fibre port installed. If fibre is not available, Maxis 5G Home WiFi is an alternative — see the section below.

1) What's the difference between Maxis Fibre and Maxis 5G Home WiFi?
Maxis Fibre uses a fixed fibre port — most stable for streaming, gaming and WFH. 5G Home WiFi uses wireless 4G/5G signal — suitable if your home has no fibre port or you want plug-and-play.
2) If my house has no fibre port, can I still apply?
Yes. Share your address. If fibre isn't available, we check 4G/5G signal and recommend Home WiFi if signal is strong enough.
3) Which fibre plan gets FREE 3 months, iPad, tablet or TV options?
Football Fever Converge Deals (1 May–30 Jun 2026) are for eligible Maxis Postpaid customers signing up new Home Fibre. 300Mbps RM99 (lifetime RM40 rebate) can choose FREE 3 months or Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite from RM11/month. 500Mbps RM139 (lifetime RM20 rebate) can choose FREE 3 months, Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite from RM1/month, Apple iPad 11″ from RM10/month, or TCL 55″ Google TV from RM1/month. 1Gbps RM159 (lifetime RM90 rebate) can choose FREE 3 months, Apple iPad 11″ from RM1/month, or Samsung 55″ TV from RM1/month. 4) How do I check Maxis coverage accurately?

5) What is the latest Maxis 5G Home WiFi promo?
Current bundle promo: Home WiFi 99 from RM79 after RM20 rebate, Home WiFi 139 from RM109 after RM30 rebate, and 5G Plus Home WiFi 159 with router + mesh from RM129 after RM30 rebate. All three Home WiFi bundle promos run until 30 June 2026. Share your address so we can check fibre port and 4G/5G signal first.
6) How long does Maxis Fibre installation take?
Usually 3–10 days from sign-up for addresses where fibre is already installed. Brand-new developments may need 2–4 weeks. During peak promo periods, book early to avoid delays.
7) What happens if I move house during the contract?
Maxis Fibre relocation costs RM200 per move. If the new address has no Maxis coverage, you can terminate with remaining contract penalty. 5G Home WiFi is portable — just take the router with you.
8) Can I switch from Unifi/CelcomDigi to Maxis and keep same fibre cable?
In most areas yes — both use TM's HSBB fibre at the last mile. Don't cancel your existing service until Maxis is installed and tested. See our port-in guide for the right sequence to avoid double-billing.
9) Do you serve all of Malaysia or only Sarawak?
We handle online applications nationwide. Physical walk-in support is in Sarawak (Kota Samarahan + Kuching). Online sign-ups are handled by the same team.
